1950-S Roosevelt Dime AU
This mid-century ten-cent piece, struck at the San Francisco Mint in 1950, represents a classic era of United States coinage. Crafted from 90 percent silver, the dime contains 0.0715 troy ounces of precious metal. It is preserved in Almost Uncirculated condition, allowing the finer details of its mid-twentieth-century artistry to remain clearly visible. The obverse of the coin presents a profile portrait of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, facing left. Accompanying his likeness are the inscriptions "LIBERTY" and the national motto "IN GOD WE TRUST", alongside the 1950 year of issue. On the reverse, three distinct symbols are arranged from left to right: an olive branch representing peace, a central torch signifying liberty, and an oak branch symbolizing strength. The legend "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and the face value "ONE DIME" frame this symbolic trio, making the coin a fascinating study in post-war American design.
