Struck at the Denver Mint in 1951, this Washington quarter dollar represents a classic era of United States silver coinage. It is composed of 90 percent silver, containing approximately 0.17875 troy ounces of the precious metal. The obverse displays the familiar left-facing profile of George Washington, a design created by John Flanagan.
