Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this 1951 silver half dollar represents a classic era of American coinage. The piece contains 0.3617 troy ounces of silver, minted with a purity of 90 percent. This specific specimen has been graded Mint State 65 (MS-65) and carries the Full Bell Lines designation, indicating an exceptionally sharp and complete strike on the reverse details. The obverse of the coin features a right-facing profile of Benjamin Franklin, designed by John R. Sinnock. Accompanying the portrait are the traditional inscriptions of LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST, along with the 1951 date. Because it was produced in Philadelphia, the coin does not bear a mint mark.
