1951 Roosevelt Dime BU

0.0715 troy oz .900 1951 Brilliant Unc

The 1951 Roosevelt dime represents a classic mid-century moment in United States coinage. Struck in Philadelphia, this ten-cent piece is composed of 90 percent silver, containing approximately 0.0715 troy ounces of the precious metal. Preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, the coin retains its original luster, allowing the fine details of its mid-century engraving to remain as crisp as the day it was minted. On the obverse, the coin displays the left-facing profile of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Surrounding his portrait are the powerful inscriptions of LIBERTY and the national motto IN GOD WE TRUST, alongside the 1951 year of issue. The initials JS are also visible near the base of the neck. The reverse of the coin presents a rich trio of symbols. Standing vertically in the center is a lit torch, flanked on the left by an olive branch and on the right by an oak branch, representing peace and strength. The legends UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DIME frame the design, while the traditional Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM is split across the lower field.
