0.3575 troy oz .900 1951 Almost Unc

Struck at the San Francisco Mint during the mid-century era, this fifty-cent piece is composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.3575 troy ounces of the precious metal. The coin is preserved in Almost Uncirculated condition, capturing the design details envisioned by sculptor John R. Sinnock. The front of the coin presents a right-facing portrait of Benjamin Franklin. Surrounding his likeness are the traditional inscriptions of LIBERTY and the national motto, IN GOD WE TRUST, along with the 1951 year of production. On the reverse, the central focus is the historic Liberty Bell. To its left, the Latin phrase E PLURIBUS UNUM is inscribed, while an eagle with open wings stands to the right. The country of origin and the half-dollar denomination are clearly displayed above and below the central bell imagery, with the small 'S' mint mark indicating its West Coast origin.
