1951-S Roosevelt Dime AU
Struck in 1951 at the San Francisco Mint, this ten-cent piece represents a classic era of United States coinage. Made from 90 percent silver, the coin contains approximately 0.0723 troy ounces of precious metal. This particular specimen is preserved in Almost Uncirculated condition, showing only minor traces of wear from its brief time in commerce. The obverse of the coin displays a left-facing profile of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, accompanied by the inscriptions of liberty and the national motto. On the reverse, three symbolic elements stand together: a central torch representing liberty, flanked by an olive branch symbolizing peace and an oak branch representing strength. The mint mark indicating its San Francisco origin is also present on this side, alongside the traditional national inscriptions.
