In 1952, the Denver Mint produced a striking silver half dollar that captures a distinct era in American coinage. The obverse presents a right-facing profile of Benjamin Franklin, designed by John R. Sinnock. Turning the coin over reveals a detailed depiction of the Liberty Bell, complete with its famous crack. To the right of the bell, a small eagle with spread wings stands out, fulfilling the legal requirement for the denomination.
