In 1952, the Denver Mint produced a classic ten cent piece that captures the spirit of mid-century America. Struck in 90 percent silver, this Roosevelt dime carries a precious metal content of approximately 0.0715 troy ounces (with some calculations placing the silver weight at 0.0723 ounces). This particular specimen survives in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, preserving the crisp details of its original striking over seven decades ago. The obverse of the coin presents a profile portrait of Franklin D. Roosevelt, facing left. Surrounding his likeness are the inscriptions "LIBERTY" and "IN GOD WE TRUST", alongside the 1952 year of issue and the tiny designer initials "JS". The Denver origin is marked by the "D" mint mark. On the reverse, three distinct symbols of American ideals are arranged from left to right: an olive branch representing peace, a central lighted torch symbolizing liberty, and an oak branch signifying strength and independence. Woven around these central elements are the traditional inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "E PLURIBUS UNUM", and the denomination "ONE DIME".
