Struck at the Philadelphia Mint during the post-war era, this 1952 half dollar is composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.3575 troy ounces of the precious metal. It represents a classic mid-century design created by John R. Sinnock, showcasing a right-facing portrait of Benjamin Franklin on the obverse. This side is inscribed with the word LIBERTY, the national motto IN GOD WE TRUST, and the year of manufacture. The reverse side of the coin displays the famous Liberty Bell as its central focus, flanked by a small eagle with open wings on its right. The traditional Latin phrase E PLURIBUS UNUM is positioned to the left of the bell, while the name of the issuing nation is inscribed above and the face value of HALF DOLLAR is placed below. This specific piece has been certified in Mint State 64 condition with the Full Bell Lines designation, indicating that the horizontal lines on the lower portion of the bell are exceptionally well-defined and complete.
