The 1952 Roosevelt dime stands as a classic representative of mid-century American coinage. Struck in 90% silver, this ten-cent piece carries a metal content of 0.0715 troy ounces of pure silver. This particular specimen is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, meaning it retains the original luster and sharp details from the Philadelphia Mint just as it appeared when first struck over seven decades ago. The obverse of the coin presents a clean, left-facing profile of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Surrounding his portrait are the clear inscriptions of "LIBERTY" and the national motto "IN GOD WE TRUST", alongside the 1952 year of issue. Just below the truncation of the neck, the designer's initials "JS" are subtly placed. On the reverse, a rich display of symbolism awaits the viewer. A central upright torch, representing liberty, is flanked by an olive branch on the left to signify peace, and an oak branch on the right to represent strength and independence. Woven through these elements is the Latin phrase "E PLURIBUS UNUM". The outer rim is inscribed with "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and the denomination, "ONE DIME".
