Struck at the San Francisco Mint during the mid-century era, this 1952 ten-cent piece is a brilliant uncirculated example of United States coinage. Composed of 90 percent silver, the dime contains approximately 0.0715 to 0.0723 troy ounces of precious metal, representing a time when circulating American currency was made of precious metal. The obverse of the coin presents a profile portrait of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Surrounding his likeness are the inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST, along with the 1952 date and the mint mark indicating its origin in San Francisco. On the reverse, three distinct symbols are arranged from left to right: an olive branch, a lit torch, and an oak branch. These elements are accompanied by the traditional Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM and the inscriptions identifying the nation as the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA alongside the face value of ONE DIME.
