It has been graded Mint State 65 (MS-65), indicating a highly preserved specimen with its original luster and details remarkably intact. On the obverse, a right-facing profile of Benjamin Franklin occupies the center. The design is flanked by the classic inscriptions of "LIBERTY" and "IN GOD WE TRUST", alongside the 1954 date. This portrait represents a departure from the traditional allegorical figures of Liberty that dominated earlier United States coinage, opting instead for a historical individual. The reverse of the coin features the iconic Liberty Bell, complete with its famous crack.
