Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this 1954 half dollar represents a classic mid-century American coin design. The piece contains 0.3575 troy ounces of silver, minted with a purity of 90 percent. This specific specimen has achieved a certified grade of Mint State 64 (MS-64) with the Full Bell Lines designation, indicating an exceptional level of detail on the reverse design. The obverse of the coin presents a right-facing profile of Benjamin Franklin, one of America's most famous founding figures. This portrait, created by designer John R. Sinnock, is accompanied by the inscriptions "LIBERTY" and "IN GOD WE TRUST", along with the 1954 year of issue. Because it was minted in Philadelphia, the coin carries no mint mark. On the reverse, the central focus is the historic Liberty Bell, rendered with fine detail that includes its famous crack. To the right of the bell, a small eagle with spread wings completes the design.
