In 1954, the San Francisco mint struck a classic piece of American coinage featuring one of the nation's most famous founding figures. This half dollar, composed of 90 percent silver with a precious metal content of 0.3575 troy ounces, represents a beautiful moment in mid-century design. The obverse presents a right-facing profile of Benjamin Franklin, accompanied by the simple yet powerful inscriptions of LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST.
