1957-D Roosevelt Dime BU
In 1957, the Denver Mint produced a classic piece of mid-century American coinage with this ninety percent silver dime. This ten-cent denomination showcases a crisp, uncirculated finish that highlights the detailed engraving work of the era, containing approximately 0.0723 troy ounces of precious metal. The obverse of the coin displays a clean profile of President Franklin D. Roosevelt facing left. Surrounding his portrait are the clear inscriptions of LIBERTY and the national motto IN GOD WE TRUST, along with the 1957 production year. On the reverse, the design shifts to a trio of powerful symbols. A central upright torch, representing liberty, is flanked by an olive branch on the left symbolizing peace and an oak branch on the right representing strength. The Latin phrase E PLURIBUS UNUM is split across the lower field, while the legends UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DIME frame the entire composition.
