1958 Roosevelt Dime BU
The 1958 Roosevelt dime represents a classic era of United States circulating coinage, struck in 90 percent silver with a precious metal content of 0.0715 troy ounces. This particular coin survives in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, preserving the crisp details of its mid-century engraving just as it appeared when leaving the Philadelphia Mint. On the obverse, the profile of President Franklin D. Roosevelt faces left. Surrounding his portrait are the inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST, along with the 1958 year of issue and the designer's initials, JS. The reverse design presents a powerful trio of symbols arranged from left to right: an olive branch representing peace, a central lighted torch symbolizing liberty, and an oak branch signifying strength and independence. Woven around these central elements are the legends UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ONE DIME, and the traditional motto E PLURIBUS UNUM.
