1960 Roosevelt Dime BU

In 1960, the United States Mint produced a ten cent piece composed of 90 percent silver, containing approximately 0.0715 to 0.0723 troy ounces of the precious metal. This particular coin survives in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, preserving the crisp details of its mid twentieth century design just as it appeared when it first left the Philadelphia Mint. The obverse of the coin presents a left facing portrait of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Surrounding his profile are the traditional inscriptions of LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST, along with the 1960 date of manufacture. On the reverse, three distinct symbols are arranged side by side. From left to right, viewers can identify an olive branch representing peace, a central lit torch symbolizing liberty, and an oak branch signifying strength. The legends UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DIME frame this central imagery, accompanied by the Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM.
