0.3575 troy oz .900 1963 Brilliant Unc

The 1963 half dollar from the Denver Mint offers a compelling look at mid twentieth century American coinage. Struck in 90 percent silver, this coin contains 0.3575 troy ounces of precious metal and displays a brilliant uncirculated finish that highlights its classic design elements. On the obverse, a right facing profile of Benjamin Franklin takes center stage. This portrait, created by designer John R. Sinnock, is accompanied by the inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST, along with the 1963 date. The reverse side presents a detailed depiction of the historic Liberty Bell, complete with its famous crack. To the right of the bell, a small eagle with spread wings is visible. The reverse is completed by the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and the denomination HALF DOLLAR. The Denver origin is marked by the letter D, indicating its production at the Colorado facility.
