This 1963 half dollar represents the final year of the Franklin series, struck in Denver and preserved in an exceptional Mint State 64 condition. Crafted with 0.3575 troy ounces of 90 percent silver, this particular specimen stands out due to its Full Bell Lines designation. This distinction indicates that the horizontal lines on the lower portion of the Liberty Bell are exceptionally well-defined, a rare characteristic for Denver strikes of this era. The obverse of the coin features a right-facing profile of Benjamin Franklin, designed by John R. Sinnock. Surrounding the portrait are the inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST, with the 1963 date positioned to the right of the bust. On the reverse, the iconic Liberty Bell is flanked by a small eagle with spread wings, accompanied by the motto E Pluribus Unum. The Denver mint mark is visible, indicating its origin from the Colorado facility.
