1963 Franklin Half Dollar MS-64 PCGS

Struck in Philadelphia during the final year of the series, this 1963 half dollar is composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.3575 troy ounces of the precious metal. It has been certified in Mint State 64 (MS-64) condition, preserving the crisp details of its mid-twentieth-century artistry. Because it was minted at the main Philadelphia facility, the coin carries no mint mark. The obverse presents a right-facing portrait of Benjamin Franklin, one of America's most famous founding figures. Accompanying his likeness are the inscriptions "LIBERTY" and "IN GOD WE TRUST," alongside the 1963 date. This clean, dignified portrait was created by designer John R. Sinnock. On the reverse, the central focus is the iconic Liberty Bell, complete with its characteristic crack. To the left of the bell, the traditional motto "E Pluribus Unum" is visible, while a small eagle with open wings stands to the right. The denomination "HALF DOLLAR" and the issuing nation are also clearly inscribed, completing a design rich in American symbolism.
