This exceptional 1963 half dollar represents the final year of a beloved American coin series. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint with no mint mark, this specimen is composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.3575 troy ounces of the precious metal. It has been certified in Proof 69 condition, a grade that highlights the sharp details and brilliant finishes characteristic of premium proof strikes. The obverse of the coin showcases a right-facing profile of Benjamin Franklin, one of America's most famous founding figures. Accompanying his portrait are the inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST, along with the 1963 date. This design was created by John R. Sinnock. On the reverse, the iconic Liberty Bell takes center stage, complete with its famous crack.
