1966 Monaco Gold 200 Francs Wedding Anniversary BU

0.9465 troy oz .920 1966 Brilliant Unc

In 1966, the principality of Monaco released a striking gold coin of 200 Francs to mark a significant milestone: the tenth wedding anniversary of Prince Rainier and Princess Grace. Struck by the historic Monnaie de Paris, this commemorative issue is notable for its limited mintage, with only 5,000 pieces ever produced. Each coin contains 0.9465 troy ounces of gold, refined to a purity of 0.920. The obverse of this Brilliant Uncirculated coin features the side-by-side, co-joined portraits of Prince Rainier and Princess Grace, capturing the royal couple in elegant profile. On the reverse, the official coat of arms of Monaco is displayed alongside the face value. The reverse also bears the French inscription commemorating the tenth anniversary of their marriage, alongside the traditional Monegasque motto, Deo Juvante.
