1972 Roosevelt Dime BU

0.0000 troy oz 1972 Brilliant Unc

The 1972 Roosevelt dime represents a classic era of modern United States circulating coinage. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this particular ten-cent piece carries no mint mark, which is a traditional characteristic of coins produced at this historic facility during this period. Kept in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, it retains its original luster and crisp details just as it appeared when leaving the minting press. The obverse of the coin features a left-facing portrait of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Surrounding his profile are the essential national inscriptions of LIBERTY and the guiding motto IN GOD WE TRUST, alongside the 1972 year of production. On the reverse, a trio of symbolic elements stands in a row. A torch representing liberty is flanked by an olive branch on the left, symbolizing peace, and an oak branch on the right, signifying strength and independence. The national identification UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the denomination ONE DIME frame the central design, while the traditional Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM is split across the lower field.
