Struck at the San Francisco Mint, this 1973 proof coin is minted with 40 percent silver, containing 0.3161 troy ounces of the precious metal. It stands as a striking mid-century artifact that merges presidential tribute with the height of space exploration. The obverse side presents a left-facing profile of General and President Dwight David Eisenhower.
