1977-D Roosevelt Dime BU

0.0000 troy oz 1977 Brilliant Unc

The 1977 Roosevelt dime stands as a classic example of modern United States circulating coinage. Struck at the Denver Mint, this copper-nickel clad ten-cent piece is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, showcasing the original luster and sharp details of the dies just as they appeared when the coin first left the press. On the obverse, the profile of President Franklin D. Roosevelt faces left. This portrait is accompanied by the traditional inscriptions of liberty and trust. The Denver origin is marked by the letter D, a mint mark that also appears on proof coins produced at this facility during this era. The reverse of the coin displays a trio of symbolic elements arranged side by side. At the center stands a lit torch, representing liberty. To its left, an olive branch signifies peace, while an oak branch on the right symbolizes strength and independence. Together, these motifs are framed by the national name and the denomination, ONE DIME.
