1982-1984 Yugoslavia Proof Gold 5000 Dinara Olympics (Random)
In the early 1980s, Yugoslavia celebrated its role as host of the Fourteenth Olympic Winter Games with a series of commemorative gold coins. Struck in a proof finish with a gold purity of 90 percent, these 5,000 Dinara pieces contain 0.2315 troy ounces of actual gold content. They serve as a lasting tribute to the athletic spirit and international cooperation of the Sarajevo games. The obverse of these coins features one of three distinct designs, which include a portrait of Josip Tito, the Olympic flame, or the official emblem paired with the Olympic rings. Surrounding the central image is the inscription SARAJEVO '84, alongside the phrase XIV ZIMSKE OLIMPIJSKE IGRE, marking the historic winter event. On the reverse, the design elements bring together the official logo of the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics and the national coat of arms of Yugoslavia. The face value of 5,000 Dinara and the year of issue are also clearly displayed, creating a balanced composition that captures a significant moment in modern sporting history.
