The 1983 Kennedy half dollar struck at the Philadelphia Mint represents an intriguing chapter for observers of modern United States coinage. Because of this omission, finding examples in Brilliant Uncirculated condition is surprisingly difficult, making this specific issue a sought-after piece for those studying the era. The inscription of the national motto, "IN GOD WE TRUST", is positioned below the bust, while the "P" mint mark of the Philadelphia facility is visible just above the date.
