1984-D Roosevelt Dime BU
Numismatic
1984-D Roosevelt Dime BU
The 10 cent denomination in the United States features one of the most enduring profiles in American coinage. On the obverse of this 1984 dime, we find the portrait of President Franklin D. Roosevelt facing left. Accompanying his likeness are the inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST, along with the 1984 year of issue. Beneath the date, the D mint mark indicates this piece was struck at the Denver Mint. Turning the coin over reveals a rich trio of symbolic elements arranged from left to right: an olive branch, a central lit torch, and an oak branch. These symbols are framed by the national inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DIME, with the traditional motto E PLURIBUS UNUM woven through the design. This Denver-struck copper-nickel clad coin remains in brilliant uncirculated condition, preserving the sharp details of its mid-1980s minting.
