1985 1/10 oz Silver Round - Engelhard Prospector MS-69 PCGS

0.1000 troy oz .999 1985

In 1985, the renowned Engelhard mint issued a fractional silver round that has since become a classic piece of American metalwork. This particular specimen is a tenth-ounce silver round, minted with a purity of 0.999 fine silver. Because these rounds are no longer in production, they represent a completed era of private minting history, preserved here in an exceptional certified grade of Mint State 69. The obverse of the round features a detailed depiction of a rugged prospector kneeling by a stream, panning for gold. This image is framed by the inscriptions "U.S.A.", "The American Prospector", and the 1985 year of issue. On the reverse, the design transitions to a classic American eagle, accompanied by markings that verify the weight and purity of the silver content, alongside the Engelhard name.
