1988 China 1/10 oz Gold Panda BU (Sealed)
In 1988, the People's Bank of China issued a tenth-ounce gold coin as part of its celebrated Panda series. Struck in 0.999 fine gold, this brilliant uncirculated piece displays a face value of 10 Yuan. The release saw a total mintage of 213,653 pieces, each backed by the official guarantee of the issuing authority. The reverse side of the coin captures a peaceful nature scene, depicting a single panda perched on a rocky outcrop while grasping a bamboo stalk. On the opposite side, the design showcases the historic Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests, located within Beijing's Temple of Heaven complex. This obverse also carries the Chinese characters for the People's Republic of China alongside the 1988 year of production.
