Introduced in 1991, this United States dollar represents the sixth entry in the celebrated American Eagle series. Struck from one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver, the coin is a sovereign issue backed by the United States government. Its surfaces are notably free of milk spots, preserving the visual appeal of its classic designs. The obverse displays the famous depiction of Lady Liberty walking, originally designed by Adolph A. Weinman. She is shown alongside the inscription IN GOD WE TRUST and the year 1991. On the reverse, a heraldic eagle stands beneath a cluster of thirteen stars, surrounded by the legends UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and the denomination 1 OZ. FINE SILVER ONE DOLLAR. A small portion of the population, totaling 2,063 pieces, has achieved the perfect grade of Mint State 70 from a major certification service.
