0.0000 troy oz 1992 Brilliant Unc

In 1992, the United States Mint released a commemorative clad half dollar to honor the 25th Olympiad Summer Games, which took place in Barcelona, Spain. This Brilliant Uncirculated coin served a vital purpose beyond its artistic value, as it was authorized to help fund training programs for American athletes preparing to compete in those historic games. The obverse of the coin, designed by William Cousins, features a striking depiction of a gymnast mid-motion, set against the backdrop of the American flag. This side displays the inscriptions "LIBERTY", "IN GOD WE TRUST", and "USA", alongside the year "1992". On the reverse, the design showcases the iconic Olympic torch. It bears the traditional Olympic motto of "CITIUS, ALTIUS, FORTIUS", which translates to swifter, higher, stronger. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this coin is composed of a copper and nickel blend bonded to a core of pure copper.
