1992-W White House $1 Silver Commem Proof (w/Box & COA)

0.7734 troy oz .900 1992 Proof

Struck in 1992, this silver commemorative dollar marks the bicentennial of the iconic home of American presidents. The physical journey of the executive mansion began on October 13, 1792, when its first foundation stone was set. Eight years later, on November 1, 1800, the building officially opened its doors as the active presidential home. The front of the coin, created by Edgar Z. Steever IV, showcases the recognizable north portico of the executive residence. On the opposite side, the design honors James Hoban, the architect behind the structure. The reverse features a portrait bust of Hoban alongside the main entranceway he envisioned. Minted at West Point, this proof coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of silver with a purity of 90 percent. It carries a legal tender face value of one dollar, serving as a lasting tribute to one of the most famous buildings in the world.
