1993-D Kennedy Half Dollar BU
The 1993 Kennedy half dollar struck at the Denver Mint represents a classic era of modern American coinage. This particular specimen is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, showcasing the original luster and sharp details of the coin as it looked when it first left the coining press. The composition of this fifty-cent piece features a outer layer of copper and nickel bonded securely to a core of pure copper. On the obverse, the coin displays a left-facing portrait of President John F. Kennedy, a design created by Gilroy Roberts. Accompanying the bust are the national motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the Denver "D" mint mark. The reverse side, designed by Frank Gasparro, features a powerful heraldic eagle. The eagle holds a bundle of arrows in one talon and an olive branch in the other, symbolizing both strength and peace. The traditional Latin motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" is inscribed above the eagle, while the legends "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "HALF DOLLAR" frame the central design.
