1995 American Platinum Eagle $100 1 oz Proof
In 2008, the Perth Mint introduced a remarkable new chapter in numismatics with the inaugural release of the Gold Koala Proof series. This premium coin is struck in a full troy ounce of highly refined 0.9999 fine gold. By utilizing a high-relief minting process, the design elements are dramatically raised from the polished, mirror-like fields, creating an exceptional three-dimensional depth. The reverse of the coin captures a tender wildlife scene, depicting a mother koala perched on a tree branch alongside her young joey. This side also displays the traditional 'P' mint mark representing the Perth Mint, along with the weight and the purity of the precious metal. On the obverse, the coin features the elegant portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley. Surrounding the royal likeness are inscriptions denoting the country of origin, Australia, the year 2008, and the face value of 100 Dollars.
