The 10 cent denomination underwent a significant compositional shift in the mid twentieth century, and this 1995 issue honors that tradition by utilizing a 90 percent silver composition. Minted in San Francisco, this dime contains 0.0715 troy ounces of precious metal. Its Gem Proof finish highlights the sharp contrast and meticulous craftsmanship characteristic of specialized proof strikes. On the obverse, the profile of President Franklin D. Roosevelt faces left. The design is accompanied by the inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST, along with the 1995 year of issue and the S mint mark, which denotes its origin at the San Francisco Mint. The tiny initials JS are also visible near the base of the neck.
