It stands as a remarkable example of modern American coinage, preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The front of the coin showcases a legendary design adapted from Augustus Saint-Gaudens' classic Gold Double Eagle. It depicts Lady Liberty walking forward, holding a lit torch to light her way and an olive branch as a symbol of peace. On the reverse, the design created by Miley Busiek presents a powerful family scene. A male bald eagle is captured mid-flight, carrying an olive branch as he returns to a nest containing a female eagle and their hatchlings. The coin's inscriptions include traditional national mottos such as E PLURIBUS UNUM and IN GOD WE TRUST, alongside the weight and face value.
