Struck at the Denver Mint, this 1999 half dollar represents a modern chapter in one of America's most enduring coin series. The coin is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, showcasing the original luster and sharp details of its composition, which features an outer layer of copper and nickel bonded securely to a core of pure copper. The obverse displays the left-facing portrait of President John F. Kennedy, originally designed by Gilroy Roberts. This side bears the inscription "IN GOD WE TRUST" split across the lower field, with the 1999 date of issue positioned at the bottom rim. The Denver "D" mint mark is also visible on this face, indicating its origin. On the reverse, Frank Gasparro's powerful rendition of the heraldic eagle takes center stage. The eagle clutches a bundle of arrows in one talon and an olive branch in the other, symbolizing both strength and peace.
