2 oz Silver High Relief Round - 1804 Dollar

2.0000 troy oz .999 N/A

This striking silver round presents a faithful tribute to one of the most famous designs in American numismatic history, the 1804 Silver Dollar. Known historically as the Bowed Liberty Dollar, the original pieces actually carried the 1804 date but were not struck until 1834, with later mintages produced in subsequent years. This modern homage captures the essence of that legendary design in a substantial two troy ounce format of 0.999 fine silver, utilizing a high-relief, domed-die striking process that gives the artwork extraordinary depth and dimension. The obverse of the round features a right-facing portrait of Lady Liberty, with her hair flowing gently. The word LIBERTY is inscribed along the top curve, while the historic date of 1804 is positioned below. Flanking the portrait are thirteen stars, with seven arranged on the left side and six on the right, symbolizing the original colonies. On the reverse, a detailed heraldic eagle spreads its wings, clutching an olive branch in its right talons and a bundle of thirteen arrows in its left. In its beak, the eagle holds a flowing ribbon inscribed with the national motto, E PLURIBUS UNUM. Above the eagle, thirteen stars are nestled beneath a canopy of clouds. The words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA curve around the upper border, while a purity hallmark is clearly visible along the bottom rim, confirming its weight of two troy ounces and its 0.999 fine silver content. Measuring 39 mm in diameter, this round offers a tactile and visually dramatic way to appreciate a classic design.
