This deep, sculptural depth mirrors the physical characteristics of the very first Peace Dollars, which were originally produced in December 1921 following an idea attributed to Farran Zerbe. Although it is not legal tender, this piece offers an immersive way to appreciate the artistry of the original design created by Anthony De Francisci. The front of the round showcases the profile of Miss Liberty looking left, adorned with her crown of rays. The word 'LIBERTY' is inscribed above, accompanied by the phrase 'IN GOD WE TRUST' and the historic 1921 date. On the back, an eagle is depicted resting on a stone crag while holding a laurel branch, with sunbeams radiating from the bottom right corner.
