This two-ounce silver round features a striking high-relief design struck from domed dies, giving great depth to its detailed imagery. The design draws inspiration from the historic Panama-Pacific fifty-dollar gold piece, translating those classic elements onto a thirty-nine millimeter silver canvas of three-nines fine purity. On the obverse, the Roman goddess Minerva is depicted in profile, facing left. This side of the round features the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "IN GOD WE TRUST," along with the weight designation "TWO TROY OUNCES." The date on this face is rendered in traditional Roman numerals. The reverse showcases an owl perched quietly upon a branch of a Ponderosa pine. Surrounding this central image are the inscriptions "PANAMA PACIFIC EXPOSITION," "SAN FRANCISCO," and "E PLURIBUS UNUM." An "S" mint mark is present on this side, alongside the inscription "0.9999 FINE AU" which honors the original gold composition that inspired this silver tribute.
