The Saint-Gaudens Gold Double Eagle is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful coins ever minted in the United States. Produced between the years of 1907 and 1933, this twenty dollar denomination coin is composed of 0.900 fine gold, containing 0.9675 troy ounces of the precious metal. These impressive pieces were struck at various United States minting facilities, including those in Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco. On the obverse side, the figure of Lady Liberty is depicted in a powerful forward stride. The reverse design showcases a magnificent bald eagle captured in mid-flight, soaring above the horizon. This side also bears the essential inscriptions denoting the issuing nation, "United States of America", alongside the face value of "Twenty Dollars". This particular specimen is preserved in a certified Mint State 63 (MS-63) condition. The entire coin was designed by the renowned sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens, whose artistic vision redefined American coinage at the start of the twentieth century.
