2000 American Silver Eagle MS-69 NGC

1.0000 troy oz .999 2000 NGC

The year 2000 release of the American Silver Eagle represents a modern classic in United States coinage. Struck from one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver, this bullion issue is backed by the United States Mint. The coin is preserved in a protective, tamper-evident holder to secure its condition, though some examples may naturally develop unique toning or oxidation over time. On the front of the coin, Lady Liberty moves with grace toward a rising sun, a celebrated design originally fashioned by Adolph A. Weinman. The inscriptions on this side include the word LIBERTY, the phrase IN GOD WE TRUST, and the year 2000. The reverse side, designed by John Mercanti, features a heraldic eagle that mirrors the Great Seal of the United States. Hovering above the eagle are 13 small stars, representing the original colonies of the nation. Surrounding this central image are the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, ONE DOLLAR, and the traditional motto E PLURIBUS UNUM.
