2000-P Massachusetts State Quarter BU

0.0000 troy oz 2000 Brilliant Unc

In 2000, the United States Mint continued its celebrated 50 State Quarters Program with this tribute to Massachusetts, marking the sixth release in the historic series. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this coin features a composition of copper and nickel bonded to a core of pure copper. It remains in brilliant uncirculated condition, preserving the crisp details of its dual-sided artwork. The obverse displays the familiar profile of George Washington, originally designed by John Flanagan. Alongside the presidential portrait, the traditional inscriptions of liberty and the national motto are clearly legible. On the reverse, designer Thomas D. Rogers captured the spirit of the region by depicting the classic Minuteman of the American Revolution. This historic figure stands proudly in front of an outline of the state, accompanied by the nickname The Bay State and the year of release, 2000.
