2001-P Buffalo $1 Silver Commem PR-70 PCGS

0.7734 troy oz .900 2001 Proof - 70 DCAM (PCGS)

This modern silver commemorative dollar, minted in Philadelphia in 2001, revives one of the most celebrated designs in American numismatic history. Struck in 90 percent silver, the coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal. It has been certified in perfect Proof 70 Deep Cameo condition, highlighting the sharp contrast between its frosted details and mirror-like fields. The obverse features a powerful composite portrait of three different Native American chiefs, a design that originally graced the Buffalo nickel circulating from 1913 to 1938. The inscription LIBERTY is clearly visible alongside the year of issue. On the reverse, a majestic bison stands in profile, modeled after a famous real-life animal named Black Diamond. The reverse inscriptions include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the denomination of ONE DOLLAR, alongside the P mint mark representing the Philadelphia Mint.
