The 2002 Roosevelt dime, struck at the Philadelphia Mint, represents a modern continuation of one of America's most enduring coin designs. This copper-nickel clad piece, preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, showcases the sharp details of a design that has graced the ten-cent denomination for decades. On the obverse, the profile of President Franklin D. Roosevelt faces left. Surrounding his portrait are the classic inscriptions of American coinage, including the word LIBERTY, the national motto IN GOD WE TRUST, and the 2002 year of issue. Just below the date, the distinct P mint mark indicates its origin from the historic minting facility in Philadelphia. The reverse of the coin presents a trio of symbolic elements arranged from left to right: an olive branch representing peace, a central lighted torch symbolizing liberty, and an oak branch signifying strength and independence. Woven around these central images is the traditional Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM, while the outer rim bears the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the denomination, ONE DIME.
