2004-D Wisconsin State Quarter BU

0.0000 troy oz 2004 Brilliant Unc

In 2004, the Denver Mint struck a distinctive quarter celebrating the agricultural heritage of Wisconsin. This Brilliant Uncirculated coin features a dual-metal composition, consisting of a outer layer of copper and nickel bonded securely to an inner core of pure copper. The obverse displays the classic left-facing portrait of George Washington, originally designed by John Flanagan. Surrounding the first president are the familiar inscriptions of liberty and national trust, along with the Denver mint mark represented by the letter D. On the reverse side, designed by Alfred Maletsky, the coin honors the state's farming traditions. A detailed cow head, a wheel of cheese, and an ear of corn are grouped together beneath a banner bearing the single word, Forward. This design is framed by the state name at the top and the year of issue at the bottom, creating a vivid tribute to America's dairyland.
