2004-P Kennedy Half Dollar BU
The 2004 Kennedy half dollar, struck at the Philadelphia Mint, represents a continuing chapter in one of America's most recognizable modern coin series. This particular specimen is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, showcasing the original luster and sharp details of a coin that never entered general circulation. Structurally, the coin is composed of an outer layer of copper and nickel bonded securely to a core of pure copper. On the obverse, the profile of President John F. Kennedy faces left, a design created by Gilroy Roberts. Accompanying the portrait are the inscriptions for liberty and the national motto, "IN GOD WE TRUST", along with the "P" mint mark indicating its origin in Philadelphia. The reverse side features the heraldic eagle design by Frank Gasparro. The eagle holds a bundle of arrows in one talon and an olive branch in the other, symbolizing both strength and peace. The traditional motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" is displayed alongside the national designation, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA".
