2004-P Wisconsin State Quarter BU

0.0000 troy oz 2004 Brilliant Unc

In 2004, the United States Mint paid tribute to the agricultural heritage of Wisconsin with a unique quarter design struck at the Philadelphia facility. This brilliant uncirculated coin features a composition of copper and nickel bonded to a core of pure copper, showcasing a bright finish that highlights its detailed engraving. The front of the coin displays the classic profile of George Washington, originally designed by John Flanagan. Surrounding the first president's portrait are the familiar inscriptions of liberty, the national motto, and the quarter dollar denomination. On the reverse, designer Alfred Maletsky captured the spirit of the Badger State by focusing on its famous farming traditions. The design prominently features a cow's head alongside a round wheel of cheese and a single ear of corn. A banner bearing the state motto, "Forward," stretches across the scene, celebrating the agricultural abundance of the region.
