Struck from gold with a purity of 0.9167, this ten-dollar denomination coin showcases two distinct artistic visions of American identity. It has been certified in near-flawless Mint State 69 condition, highlighting the exceptional quality of its production at the West Point Mint in New York. On the obverse, the coin displays an adaptation of Augustus Saint-Gaudens' classic design originally created for the Gold Double Eagle. It depicts Lady Liberty walking forward with strength, illuminated by the rays of a rising sun. The reverse, designed by artist Miley Busiek, presents a family of bald eagles, with a male eagle in flight returning to a nest that shelters a female eagle and their young. This side bears the traditional inscriptions, including the national mottos IN GOD WE TRUST and E PLURIBUS UNUM, alongside the weight and face value.
